Hi Everyone,

I just bought a new Audi A4 B7 and decided to upgrade the Halogen Headlights to Bi Xenon Adaptive Headlights.

The set had arrived last week but I have no way to install them since I've heard from some friends that these will need some special plugs and also we'll need to recode them in order to get their lights balanced and automatically turning when we make turns.

Did anyone experience this? It'd be much appreciated if someone could share some info about this. Does anyone live in Sydney - Australia and offers this service?

Thanks for your attention.

Cheers,

I believe the halogen headlights are powered by a 10 pin connector, where as the bi-xenon and bi-xenon adaptive headlights are powered by like a 12? or 14? pin connector. No idea on details of what wires are what or where they go. All the eBay aftermarket headlights I have seen are powered by a 10 pin connector, and the 12? and 14? pin xenon light hook ups are why none of the typical aftermarkets "FIT" or "WORK".

I can also tell you that when I played with my Vag-com cable I think I saw settings for either standard, bi-xenon or adaptive headlights in "Lighting".

Maybe this info will help you get started. I would recommend PM'ing fly300kts - he has a lot of experience with B7 headlights.
