I need to change my wheel bearings. Is this a pretty straight-forward job. I've done it before on a '69 Camaro but that was years ago. I have no problems changing breaks/rotors.
Thanks.

have you accomplished this yet?

i was thinking my front wheel bearings are on the way out. and i don't think that is good if you have an AWD car? but i have only had the car for 2 months

No, I haven't done this yet. Further research leads me to believe that a press is required to change the bearings. A friend of mine had his rear bearings changed on his A4 for about $250, I'll go that route.

Well I just like to say if you don't have a machine shop, don't try, they have to be press fit,and then you'll need to change the abs sensor, and that could run you if you don't go somewhere cheap to get it fixed, call around for the part first get it then bring it to the mechanic to do .part should only be 60.00 and install about 85.00 if they don't need to do both f/r..i have 2 places if you reply I'll get you the name if you haven't done already..
