Thanks you for the info..I had the same problem with my 02 allroad..2 rainstorms in a row..the 1st time my passenger side floor was drenched and warning lights for the suspension and brakes were somehow tripped..definitely scary..
as usual, this kind of stuff happens on the Friday before a holiday weekend..so no chance of dealer service,,using a shop vac and a hair drier, I got it dried out and everything seemed to work fine again..1 week later, another rainstorm..this time, of all things, the windshield wipers stopped while on the NY thruway,..scary..I opened the hood and notice the battery compartment looked like a lake..
got to my destination and started feeling around for a clogged drain outlet..
found it between then battery and brake fluid res..using my finger, I was able to unclog(pine needles) and the water gushed out under the car,,the wiper motor was submerged and this must have been the problem..after it dried, seems to be working fine...BUT>>Why don't the dealer service advisors know of this..shouldn't Audi send out a service bulletin telling them to check this badly designd drain for debris when in for maintenance..I still love the car, but don't those high tech Audi engineers know about gravity, water, and pine needles???
