Hello,
I am a new member to this forum and own a 2001 a6 avant 1.9 tdi.
I have recently noticed that the carpet in the passenger footwell is very wet and wondered if anyone can shed any light on the problem, or has had a similar experience.
I am interested to hear any comments
Cheers

Fixing Your Audi A6 Water Leak

A few weeks ago, I noticed a water leak in my 99 Audi A6 Avant. As I drove uphill, water came rushing through a vent near the passenger side floor.

Instead of dropping $150+ to have a dealer fix the problem, I did some research and found that a drainage hole underneath the battery was clogged. I made a video tutorial showing how to fix this problem.

You can see the video tutorial here:

water leaking from AC into footwell

Bubbster,

Not really sure about that. It's good that you cleared out the areas blocked by debris. I would give any other water a few days to "disappear." If it doesn't, than your other concerns may be valid. I'm not sure where the AC drain tube is located, but this is a good forum to search on.

Best of luck,

JWAL
