Had a slip spring replaced in my steering wheel 22 months ago in order for all of the electrics on the steering to be usable.
The part had a 2yr guarantee
The part has gone again 22 months later and Audi are now saying we have to pay £550 pl vat because it's not covered due to the fact that it was put in under warranty 22 months ago and we are not entitled to get warranty to replace it as it's warranty on warranty.
Seems like a mockery of the warranty system.
The part did not last the guaranteed 2 years, so it seems to us that the part was not fit for purpose as it failed before it guarantee period and as the car is still under warranty, why would it not be entitled to have the part fitted under the existing warranty.
Has anybody had any similar experiences?
