When I start my A8 4.2 (2000 model) first thing in the morning I get 4 beeps from the rear of the car. There are no warning lights etc up on the dashboard, only these beeps. I recently had the battery run flat through lack of use of the car over the Xmas period and the beeps have started since then! I have read the manual but it tells me nothing. Advice most welcome please.

Do you have the Parktronic sensor? Could this be an issue?

I have exactly the same thing on my 2000 A4 Avant. Audi Agents can't explain it. Suggested low battery in key. Changed battery in key but beeps still there first thing in cold weather. No warning lights. What is it ?
