I am making the jump to purchase a very low mileage 2007 S4 in immaculate condition. The car has no warranty. Is there anything to look out for on these cars that are major issues? Should I purchase an aftermarket warranty? If so, any good ones that you can recommend? I am pretty good mechanic but I doubt I can fix problems on this type of car unless they are straightforward.

Turns out the seller was out of the country for 5 weeks or so and I could not purchase it without him signing over title. So I kept my A3 and bought a 2007 BMW M Coupe instead. Couldn't find the right S4 and now I have 2 cars for the price of 1! And much happier.

Sounds wicked but how did you get 2 for the price of 1?
Pretty good bogoff??
What was the seller asking for the s4?
Might have sold you mine complete with warranty but I love it too much :)

Well I guess 2 for the price of 1 just means I go the M Coupe and kept my A3. But I was going to sell the A3 for the S4 so the cost would have been much less. Anyway, the S4 was negotiated to $32k and should have been a great deal but a warranty from Audi is like $3500 on that car. I got my M Coupe with 19k miles for $29.5 with 2 years left under warranty so I saved a bit of coin and now have a track weapon that I can toy with and my A3 for everyday use. My life would have been simpler with just the S4 but I couldn't find one with the right miles for the right price and this guy just made me wait too long so the deal on my car fell through.
