Hi just a quick one . got a quattro A4 2.6 v6 1996 , I have notest that the front tyers are getting a bit thin on the tread and the backs are nearly new the question is do i have to change all 4 tyers or can i get just 2 new ones for the front of the same make .

You may not have to change all the tyres as long as there is enough tread left on the rears. Ask your tyre dealer or Audi service dept. They will give you the tolerances for tread depth you must respect with a Quattro. Be careful. If you have too much variance in tread depth between front and rear tyres the differing circumfrences results in the tyres spinning at different speeds and you risk burning out the viscus link in the drive train which is very expensive to replace.
