I need some feedback as to what you guys think is the problem or if you have heard of it happening before...

I'm having intermittent problems when changing from 3rd to 4th gear only. When at 2,500 revs, the revs will fly upto approx 4,000 and drop down quickly to 2,500...Whilst driving at a faster speed and changing gears from 3 to 4...I'm obviously in higher revs yet it happens so quickly, the car shudders!!

Has anyone got any thoughts on this??

I have been in and out of the Dealership month in, month out to try work out what is wrong with it...they can't work it out...the latest theory was a sticky valve.

My car knows all about valves sticking open and if you vaguely suspect that this is the problem make sure they do a thorough check. I dont want to guess at what your problem is. Read my post on the issue, it will give you some idea as to the background & where things currently sit.

I thought my problem was dirty injectors & so carried on driving, planning to have it checked at the next service. I am now sitting with two burned cylinders and the need to replace the complete engine block!
