My 2000 TT had never let me down until yesterday.
Normal drive into work at 8:30, when I left at 5 it reluctantly turned over before firing up. I was 'downtown' for 4 hours before returning to the car to go home. The battery was dead in that even the windows were reluctant to move.
A jump start got it going, good run home, lights ablaze (suggesting alternator OK??). Got home, stopped the engine, re-start straight away no problems. This morning, dead as the proverbial dodo.
No lights had been left nor the radio.
Has anyone else had a battery spontaneously die like this?
The car is garaged and it hasn't been 'that' cold.
