The New Grill On The S4 Is Butt Ugly!

OK, Audi has gone to the dark side and finally made a vehicle look so bad that it may turn potential owners off? I'm driving an '03 M3 and I think I'm gonna have a problem buying the next M3 if it's as butt ugly as the 5 & 7 series.

I was ready to come back to the Audi fold and get into a new S4 and then Audi goes and screws up the front end, along with the rest of the line.

So my question is: If the new look really bothers you, what are you gonna do?

Have to agree. I think the interior is well done, but the whole line of the car is just not to my liking.
Looks like there is a lot of aftermarket stuff out there but I wouldn't want to drop more cash to fix the looks after spending so much for the car in the first place.
Check this out.

Just my opinion, but that steering wheel sucks too! I liked the old one a lot better.

Maybe, Chris Bangle from BMW has a key to the design studio :w00t:

I have to agree with you on the front end issue. luckily I got my A4 in December before the new shape arrives (in Australia).

I know I am now driving an "old" model, but I'd rather that than the "new" front end.

thats the A4 steering wheel... the S4 should retain some kind of three spoke "sport" wheel.
I couldn't agree more with you guys.

Audi's new line looks as ugly as can be, so does BMW's and VW's.

I dont know whats going on, but the Germans have gone crazy. I have never driven anything else but German cars, i was always a fan of all German cars except OPEL.

First car: 1985 Merceds 190 E
Second: 1993 VW Golf II, GTI.
Third: 2000 VW Jetta, VR6.
Current: 2002 A4, 1.8 T.

My brother owns a 2001 330 BMW Ci, and i love it.

But all the new german cars turn me off completely, as a huge German Car Fan im extremely dissapointed at the new looks of: AUDI, BMW, MERCEDES and VW
They suck so bad, that i dont know what im gonna buy in a couple of years.

yep.. drove a 2.0T the other day.. it was a huge improvement on the 1.8t
Guys:

I gotta disagree. The new front end does take some getting used to but it is a far superior styling exercise than the existing model.

I beleive Audi stole one of Alfa Romeo's lead designer to look at updating the existing styling without straying to far away from Audi's existing baseline.

Only thing is I think they are doing more following than leading. Alfa was the first come with the oversized grill and high belt line. I hate to say it but Chrysler's followed the same exercise and Audi's added there effort.

The sleek lines need to remain but the look of the car needs more bite. The current model works towards it.

I want to get a chance to drive the 2.0 as well
