Just recently when I turn right I hear a slight squeaking noise from the stearing column. It sounds like something is rubbing when I turn the wheel. Has anyone else had this problem? Would appreciate any top tips.....
I had this problem on my A4. It was under warranty, so I took it in and they pulled it apart and lubed it..... they said if it didn't go away they would have to replace the steering column.... I only had the car about a month.... it sounded like someone moving around in a leather jacket on my car.... hope this helps...
I had a similar sound and it turned out to be a bad steering tie-rod on the driver's side. It sounded like it was coming from the steering column. I replace both tie-rods myself-took about 2 hrs and needed an alignment after I finished. Parts $50 + $70 alignment.
Hope this helps!
