My 99 A4 2.8 is difficult to start after I refuel (whether I fill it up or just add a few gallons). Will eventually start but then when I go to put in Drive, it stalls out. This is repeated at least 3 or 4 times before I quickly throw it into gear and drive off.

have you ever had a cel come on during this? i know the gas tank is sorta presureised and the cap needs to be on tight. your gas cap might be your prob.
