Read a couple of posts saying there's a number of different outputs for the 2.5 tdi engine - 150/155/165/180.
I thought just the quattro had 180, but maybe wrong.
Mine's a 2001 A6 Avant SE Tdi - how do i tell?
A6 2.5 TDI cars from 2001 can have either 150 or 180 hp. If you have engine type AKN (like I do), then you have 150 hp. Also, the 180 hp version has TDI markers with a red "I" on the trunk and on the engine cover.
Another thing: in my country, on the car's registration certificate (the one I got from the Police), the power of the engine is specified clearly. You should check yours.
P.S. You should be able to "feel" the difference between 150 and 180 hp. It's over 1 second on the 0-100 km/h. :w00t:
