Just got a 54 plate A3 3.2 Quattro Sport - very pleased with it...except:

I take my seatbelt off whilst driving in my company car park (or elsewhere) in preparation for reverse parking. From then until I switch the engine off I get this silly beeping telling me my seatbelt isn't on.....

Is there any way to disable this...?

find the beeper and cut the feed to it :banana:

The beeper is located in the instrument cluster. You have to disassemble it (not very hard if you have the right torx screwdriver) to get to the beeper. Not a good idea to cut the wires, though . It won't beep anymore when you're running out of gas, or more serious issues like low oil level and so on.

The beeper only goes off if you are going forwards at more than a set speed. Why not just take your seatbelt off only before you start reversing?
