Satnav "Unplayable" message

My satnav suddenly displayed a "No valid data" message on screen. After removing and wiping the contacts on the SD card it works normally, but still displays an "Unplayable" message on the dash. Exactly the same in slots 1 or 2.
Any suggestions?

Solved it myself and feel a bit stupid! I' d accidentally got the media switch on - no disc in - hence unplayable.
