If you are feeling gung ho try loosening the wheel nuts/bolts slightly and then go for a very short and slow drive checking every 50 yards or so whether the wheel has loosened. This is best done on a private road and as soon as the wheel has loosened re-tighten the wheel and go home.
It's a bit cavalier I know but has worked for me a couple of times.
