Hello all,

My radiator fans will not come on which I assume is why my A/C will not work. My temperature gauge goes way above the normal level. Last year I replaced my A/C Compressor and had an ice cold A/C all summer long. When I hit the A/C button (snowflake) nothing happens. The icon stays on while I hold the button down but as soon as I release it it goes out.

I've used the ECC to read the OBD codes and I got:
05.1- Outside Air (Ambiant) Temperature Sensor (G17), front, static open
22.1 - A/C Refrigerant High Pressure Switch (F118), static open
Using Diagnostic Channel 52:
A2 - A/C manually switched off (A/C standby canceled)
F2 - A/C Refrigerant High Pressure Switch (F118)

Any help would be much appreciated. I would rather not do the normal Audi thing and replace things that don't need replacing. Like I said earlier, the A/C worked great last year.

Thanks in advance for any help.

i dont know u codes, but, put a set of a/c gauges on, (might need a adpter) low side, pull a/c hot leed @ comp, jump to 12v, come on ? ck pressures & noises, if it works (dont run 4 long) - ok -if trace issues.
pull leeds to cooling fans , grnd & 12v hot - see if they work (r& r as nessary)
find a wiring diagram - trace sys , s/w's relays hi pressure s/w's etc.
u need a/c - cooling fans no matter if a/c works.
bentley book - should have info
