I have recently bought an A4 Avant and the windscreen seems to have small pitts/chips all over it it as though it has been driving through something abrasive - (grit or something) - No sign of chips on the bodywork or anything.

These are actually so small that they can't be seen unless you are driving into bright sunshine, where they reflect the light and become an irritating distraction.

I was wondering if anyone had any tips for getting rid of these. I can't treat them individually as there are so many of them accross the whole windscreen - Is there anything I can do or will I need a new screen?
Thanks.

If your fully comp insuranced, you can get a reaplacement windscreen for £50 excuss and you not loss your NO Claims with windscreens, (check you policy tho)I wnet to RAC who just changed it and said the insurance companies never want to see them and they just write it down as i non repairable stone chip..

(its a "grey" rule with all windscreen companies...

Cheers
