I have just picked up a new Audi A3 2.0 FSI. I am a bit worried by the noise of the engine especially when accelerating. It seems loud to me. Has anyone else noticed this?

I have just purchased the same car and while the engine is not noisy, it does have a great "growl" on acceleration.

well.. theres "good" loud and "bad" loud... hopefully you're experencing good loud

hows the new 2.0FSI other than being loud? Cant wait to get my hands on the new GTI when it gets to this side of the pond!

Is that an AUDI GTI ? if so lets hope it as good as a GOLF GTI which has just been given the thumbs up by Clarkson off BBC top gear. A man that tells it as it is.

I bought an A4 2.0T FSI just over a month ago. The car is very noisy. BMW, Mercedes and Jaguar need not worry about competition.
The main problem with mine is due to the multitronic at low speeds. In town or country lanes the car does 1300 rpm approx and sounds like a tractor. Audi may have a design fault as dealers deny there is a problem
