they help with handling but reduce acceleration if wheel diameter is increased. only a small amount though

I think when it comes to looks, you gonna get more opinions than there are options, so go with what your own sense of style says.
If the tire size remains pretty much similar, I cant see why you would have handling problems. If you bigger or smaller on the outter diameter, your speedo is not going to show accurate speed and you will have to have it recalibrated. That is about the only thing I can think of but then I aint an expert.... just an opinionated forum member

What a friend of mine did before changing rims on his VW Golf Cabriolet was to take a photo of his car and then digitally replace the wheels with a picture of the different ones he was looking at. Gives a pretty good idea of the result. He put it to the vote a bunch of his friends.... that gave for some interesting debate!

I am not sure.The fact is that we're talking about totally anonymous wheels,no idea about factory of origin,method of construnction,stiffness,wearability,etc...

you probably could trust them, i dont see why you wouldnt. The losses, even if they do weigh more, are minimal. Unless you're tuning your car for the best proformance you can have, there shouldnt be a problem. Just make sure you have good tired mounted to those suckers <_<

yeah, that would be ideal actually.. i think thats the stock size for the 18"s on the A4

Check this link out, it'll help you find out how much your speedo will be offwith your new wheels. I believe its something like .04 off. .... no biggie.
