Hi everyone,
After some educated advise. I've got a 98 model B5 A4 1.8 (not the turbo) which is a great little car, but it needs some work done so I'm tossing up selling it. It's a solid car and has only done about 110k km's, however at the last service I got a list of work to be done:
- Coolant leak at rear of cylinder head
- Leaking water pump (replace I assume)
- Front brake pads
- 2 x front discs
- Timing belt
- Drive belts
- 4 x tyres
I was told it'll be about $3500-4000 (not at a dealer). Does that sound about right? Has anyone had the above done and can give me an idea how much it set them back?
It's also got the S-Line 16' wheels which currently have 215 55 R16 tyres on them which I've learnt are pretty expensive. Would it work if I went with 205's? Otherwise has anyone come across some fairly priced tyres in this size?
