Could you please tell me whether this is a characteristic of CVT multitronic transmissions....??
When coming at a complete stop (say sudden stop), the hypothetical "gears" of the multironic transmission (i guess can be called ratios) drop dramatically from say 1000 rpm to 500 and then back to normal at 700rpm. This fluctuation feels as if the engine is about to stall, however it never does.
However say that you are driving very slowly and you come to a complete stop, this fluctuation does not occur ( i guess because you are kept in the same gear).
What do you guys think? Any of you have CVTs...? I have a 2003 Audi A4 1.8T (European). I just got the car as used so i do not know if this is something normal... It maybe but i dont know...
