I have had similar problems with my 2002 A4 here in Chicago to the guy complaining of service problems. In my case, the fan on the heating system keeps going off when the car has sat outside overnight in temperatures of 25 degrees or less. Sometimes the fan doesn't operate for several days and I am driving around in a really cold car. I will be taking it in to my dealer for the 4th time this Friday. Usually, the dealer stores the car indoors and then the fan starts to work. It would appear to be the policy of Audi that the customer has to prove something is wrong. They take the car and say " well its working now, we didn't find anything" Does anyone know about this problem? Can anyone advise me?
Cold in Chicago.

You described a dealer policy (a common one too) not an Audi policy.

My suggestion is to find a better dealer service department or a vw-audi guru. You will be unsuccessful training that dealer to use its head and divine the problem.

Good luck
