Moonroof Randomly Opening

Has anyone experienced an issue where the moonroof randomly opens, even though the switch is in the off position? This recently happened to me. When trying to change the switch to the open position, it engaged the motor to actually try to open the roof when it was already open. all i could do is use the crank to close it and then unplug the crazy thing.

I have a 1998 A4 and it does the exact same thani that you have already explained. I also have many other electrical issues that ate unresolved like intermittant working cruize control. Some days it works and some not. Who knows? Sorry i dont have an answer to this problem.

Ive a 1997 A4 2.8 roof opens about 4 times a year with no explaination,it's a pain when you come back to a car with a soaking wet interior!!

No idea how to fix the prob though...apart from moving to warmer climate!
