I was just going through the old posts and had to say, I know what you mean by missing your car.

Mine is in the shop for repairs and I am driving a Toyota Echo rental! I need my baby back soon, hopefully it will be ready before this weekend!

I just had my allroad in for the first oil change, and i had to leave it overnight cause they had a bunc of cars in there... they gave me an 04 A4 1.8t fronttrack... nice little car... never driven a FWD audi... i was expecting it to be alot like my jetta but it rode much better B)

I go every day to the service center to keep them on their toes. Was just there this morning and gave them what for. They only so far managed to remove the valve cover. I am told they will have the head off by midday and let me know this afternoon about whats up inside.

I wait with bated breath, I am hoping it is not too ugly. I have to say, it is an interesting learning experience to see the insides open, remarkable feat of mechanical technology!

yeah.. the engine components on new cars today are crazy... i used to mess around with the engine on my QuattroCoupe... now i just leave it to the pro's

I never been the grease monkey type, letting the pro's do it was definitely my thing.

I used to drive my moms Mini Cooper years ago. Had a bad experience when driving into colleage one morning, I lost the steering. The column detached from the nut and I just headed into a ditch, nothing I could do! Very scarey. This happened after my brother and a friend decided to rebuild the car. I think that was enough of a lesson learned.
