I have the Edmunds.com test car (2001 audi AWD TT 225 hp). I only has 22,000 miles on it and I love this car. However, thre is often a loud single knock sound when I move the shifter from third to neutral to fourth. I think the noise actually occurs when leaving thrid or entering neutral. The dealership said they could not repeat the noise even though I have no probem doing it. Are they just avoiding paying for something that needs replacement? Bad gear wheel? Anyone know if this is something that has been noted in audi repair announcements? help help help...
