Hi all, my drivers side brake light blew on the weekend, and it showed up on my dash, so i changed the bulb, with one that looked the same, but now, when i press the brakes, my drivers side, side light comes on and it still shows on the dash as faulty, have i done something wrong, or is there a problem with it???

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Nilz

you probly have to get the code cleared
you can get it vagcomed

some people disconnect the battery for about 30min and the codes will clear
but i never tried it

Its ok, I worked it out, i used the wrong bulb, i used a single filament bulb, instead of a double, problem solved and error message cleared.

Thanks anyway :)

You dont have to get anything cleared when replacing a bulb except for the xenon and have to readapt the basic settings. but a tail or brake bulb just requires the right bulb and installation, and the warning indicator goes out.
