Hi all,

(US license plate holder, not EU)

2 part question:

Question 1:

The finish on my license plate holder is starting to flake off a bit revealing a flat black color under the gray-ish finish, and needless to say, it doesn't match the nice grill and i don't like it. Is there any sort of paint or something i can buy to re-apply the finish? It's an Audi A4 3.2 V6 Quattro, the car is black, and the grill is a dark gray.

Question 2:

If the answer to question 1 is no, then where can i buy the same license plate holder (not filler!) with the same color as my grill online? And how hard is the installation? I'm assuming the bumper has to removed so i can get behind the grill, in which case i'll probably just stop by my mechanic.

Thanks in advance!

Hey Chris,

Is this what you are looking for?
Audi B7 A4 Quattro 2.0T > Exterior > Body > ES#261090 Front Plate Bracket - Black - 8E0807285BM3FZ

If your car is S-Line, you may need something different. ECS Tuning has a whole bunch available for around $100
Audi B7 A4 Quattro 2.0T > Exterior > Body

Install is super easy, just 4-5 screws that you access from the front of the grill. No need to remove the entire grill. Paint could work as well, it just wouldn't be as polished as a replacement. I would remove the plate holder from the grill before spraying so you don't over-spray onto the car... satin black or grey would work.
