Hello. My name is Karl as all can tell from my name on here. I own a Dodge Neon R/T and have been extremely satisfied with it. Not the best car in the world, but hey, it gets me around. I'm looking for another car, and I came across a B5 1999 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro. I'm debating whether or not purchasing it, as it has 119k miles on it, but is fully loaded. More than what I'm used to. As I'm told, these cars hold up extremely well, and are nice. Pending my decision, I'm thinking of problems these cars have, although I'm a certified auto technician. I'm just trying to find out som e things about the car to help me come to a conclusion on whether or not it's worth driving 4 hours and spending $6000 dollars on. Help me out! :liebe011:

It is Quattro. I forgot to mention that. Haha. Well, that seems like a lot of miles, but my Neon has 136k and it's a 98. Pricey? I'm going to try to talk them down a little bit, but I looked up the KBB value, and it shows private party being 8,200 for good condition, and the MSRP for a dealership would be 11,210 for Excellent condition. I'm not 100% sure, and I could be looking for a different one later on. I was just wondering how they are and such. I know I would be capable of doing the timing belt and such. Any special books I should buy if I get one? I know a chilton's manual is good.

Yeah, I saw those Bentley manuals, and also noticed the VAG-COM stuff. I'm still debating on buying the car or not.
