Hello,

This is my first post. My wife currently owns a 99 A4 and is going to trade it in for either an '05 A4 or '06 A3. She's really leaning towards the A3. We test drove both and she really likes the A3. What a great car!

I was just curious how you like your A3's? Any problems or insights you could share would be great. Has it been a pretty reliable car? I was also wondering if there are any USA owners here since the car just hit the US market 4 weeks ago.

I love mine, but it has had problems. I have been without a drivers side airbag for 2 months as they can't seem to get the right part.

Oh, and watch out, the standard A3 is going to be facelifted in June to have the new grill (in the UK that is).

I got 2005 A3 coupe and I am very happy with my car, People had to turn their heads when I'm on the streets.

You should buy the 2.0T FSI or the TDI 3.0 engines. They work well on the Audis.

I've had my A3 for five weeks - 3000 miles. Love it!
Mine is Lava Gray Pearl, with Premium, XM, and Cold Weather, and most importantly, with Open Sky.

I'd driven both manual and DSG -- love the DSG, but chose manual for budgetary reasons-- and mostly I'm glad I did. I mean, the manual is great, but it doesn't shift quite as quicly, and I really got off on that downshift blip the DSG puts in.

For my purposes, this is the best car out there.
