I have got my sub and my amp and wanting to install it in my 98' audi A6.

i'm just wondering the best way and safest way to do this so i don't screw the factory bose stereo up. I've read somewhere by adding aftermarket amps and what not you could cause the factory amps to bun out??? I'm not sure i just need some answers. thanks

if so worried take it to an audio installer for the good info of what to use and not to use to preserve the bose system

Hey, I've got the same thing going on with my S4. You can do it youself. most aftermarket stereo shops, car toys, etc will do it. They'll also tell you not to do it yourself. But, I did. If you're audio and electrically inclined at all. It's not too hard. It uses a product called an OEM II. It converts the high freg. of your factory amp into a low freg. that an aftermarket amp can handle and handle all the feedback. If done correct you should be fine putting one in.
