hey every one...

i just bought this audi no more than 3 weeks ago ( 1988 audi 90 ) for 350 bucks so i know there are kinks i need to iron out to say the least.. over all she is in nice condition with a lil tlc and money should make a nice winter / daily beater... well to get to the point...

drove her home from the dealer ship when the heater core blew! i already bought the replacement core and absolutely refuse paying some random guy 500 bucks for labor! My question is : do i need to remove the whole dash to replace the core? or is there a way i can get under and go at it with out removing the dash and or center console?

Hey badreligion87....Greg here...welcome to the forums...glad to have you aboard. Unfortunately...the answer is yes...the whole dash has to come out in order to replace the heater core. But very carefull when doing this as there are a few very brittle sensors and vac hoses that might break if you are to harsh when pulling it out...just fyI. There should be a step by step process that will hepl you do this...you just have to give a good search on the net...good luck. Post back with any problems or questions.

Cheers!
