Hi All,

Have recently purchase an MY14 A5 2.0L Coupe.

The vehicle has only done around 15,000km however i have noticed the fuel consumption is significantly higher than the claimed rates (i believe this is a urban/highway combined figure of around 6.7L per 100km)

My average however is almost double that! Sitting at around 12.2L per 100km

In fact the best i have ever achieved for a trip above 15km is only 11.4L per 100km

I am a little concerned as these rates are far off the claimed ones by Audi.

Do i have a problem here, something worth approaching Audi about or are these rates im experiencing quite normal? I must say that the majority of my routes are in typical metro / suburban areas with average - high traffic however i would not expect for them to be this high.

Your feedback would be much appreciated

Thanks,

Marcin

Marcin,
Are you driving primarily in the city with a lot of stop and go driving and hills or are you driving primarily in the country on flat terrain? The quality of your gas as well as tire pressure will also affect your mileage. My driving is almost exclusively on the highway so I regularly achieve and sometimes exceed mileage estimates.
