Hi. I have an 06 A3 2.0T that I am trying to put lowering springs on. The rears were a piece of cake but I'm having trouble with the fronts. I was told that I needed to remove the sway bar link from the strut, remove the pinch bolt from the spindle/lower strut mount, open the lower mount with a wedge and unbolt the 3 bolts to the lower control arm. This was supposed to allow me to remove the strut assy after removing the upper 3 mount bolts. After doing all of this (minus the upper bolts) I still lack about 3/4" of travel to get the strut to clear the lower mount. Am I missing something? Thanks for any help.

I put a kw coilover in my a3 2.ot last week and went trough the same thing and did it exactly the way you described. It did however take me two hours to force it out, actually in the end i hit the lower shock seat with a ruber hammer and it popped out. Just make sure that the three nuts ontop of the shock tower are still in place

im trying to lower my audi a3 too. could you email me the instructions you have for replacing the front and back springs? that would be great!

also im looking to lower my car by about 30mm but as my car is the sport (already lowered 15mm) i dont know what springs to go for, maybe eibach sportline. which springs are you using? do you have any photos of your car once lowered?

also i have 8 x 18 RS6 alloys on the car - is that too wide (normally 7.5 x 18) ? will i get scrubbing?

any help welcomed!
