I recently spun a rod in my B7 S4 and need to rebuild the engine. I am looking to take the engine out myself then send it to a shop or rebuild it myself. I don't have any experience rebuilding engines and know this is a difficult job but a part of me wants to give it a shot myself. With the crank likely damaged, what would I have to do to rebuild the engine and have it running like new again? I assume new crank, bearings, oil pump and do the timing chains since I have the engine out. Any advice on things to do to rebuild an engine are appreciated!
