Hello Audi-Forum members!

My name is Chris and I work at ECS Tuning. For those of you who don't know us, we specialize in ALL things VW, Audi and BMW related. I am our Audi specific employee and the forum liaison. If you need help with a part search, technical question, anything - PM me.

It will take me a few days to get my bearings on the new forum but I thought I'd start with a basic introduction. We offer everything from big brake and turbo kits down to nuts, bolts and oil changes. I'm here Monday through Friday so if you have a question - ASK!

Joe,

Pardon the language barrier here, but it sounds like you are needing to back off the parking brake locking mechanism? This is tricky as you'll need to secure the car from rolling while you have it lifted with the parking brake off. Large bricks are usually good wheel chocks if you don't have access to a frame lift. Once it is lifted and locked into place from rolling, disengage the foot brake and you should be all set.

Welcome to you as well. I'm afraid we don't get many S8 cars around us so I'm not going to be much help with the technical aspects of the job. If it is like most other Audis I've worked on it shouldn't be too terrible. You may want to pop over to the A8/S8 specific forum and see if anyone with the same car has some insight for you.

Good luck!

While logic seems to dictate that O2 sensors would fail independently, history shows that they do like to fail in pairs. Are you throwing any additional codes? Your O2 sensors are located here in Genuine VW/Audi or right here in Bosch.

Remember, these are single sensors so you will need two. I would recommend saving yourself a few bucks and going with the Bosch.

Here is a link to our most popular valve cover gasket for your 2.7t - again, this is for only one side.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do!

Hi my name is Bob. I have a 2002 A6 Quattro 3.0 I used to be into BMW,s this is my first Audi. Love the car,But I have a problem the check engine light came on the other day.Took it to Advance Auto parts And they said the codes were 0011 and 0022 witch has to do with timing and camshafts . The car has not missed a beat idles fine runs fine has lots of power. No rough idle .Confused You would think if one of those codes exist it would have one of the problems. Lost ? Thanks Bob, and I hope that I continue to enjoy my Audi .

Howdy friends -

Let me start off by saying it has been a blast over these past 8 months getting to talk to many of you and help you out with your cars. That being said, my role here at ECS has changed recently and such a change will require me to pass the Audi forum torch on to a new guy. I love coming into work every day and while I will miss getting to interact with my Audi friends, my new roles will keep me far to busy to keep up on the forums.

Over the last few weeks, I have been training my replacement, Jason, and he has taken the reins from me recently. He will be able to answer your questions and help you in any way that I have been able to. Don't be too hard on him :)

Cheers and best wishes,
Pete

PS: I will still be available through email, however Audi queries will be forwarded on to Jason. If you have a need that only I can address, please note as such in any correspondence.

Hey everyone! I'm Jason and I will be taking over Pete's position here over at ECS Tuning on the forums. I'd like all of you to know you can count on me to help you in anyway possible just as Pete did in the past. I'm very excited to be able to work with, interact, and provide my knowledge to everyone I can in the Audi community!

I currently drive a 99.5 B5 A4 1.8T it's black with black leather interior. I've kept it pretty much stock as far as engine mods. Suspension is lowered on H&R race springs and factory Audi sport shocks. Exterior mods are subtle, 20% window tint all around, DIY clear corners, and an M3 spoiler, that about covers it.

I hope to build some great relationships and get to know as many of you in the community as I can, maybe learn a thing or two along the way as well!! I will make it a priority to help everyone to the best of my ability, keep customers as happy as possible and returning to our company time and time again! CHEERS!

Jason
