HELP almost 90% of the time my conv. closes..I latch it shut...and the light wont go off...I do it like 10 times in a row.. it still doesnt shut off and the windows wont close...ANy tricks I am missing??? 2001 TT

Convertible top help...TT

Having read and tried the suggestions to make the light go out and the windows go up on my 2001 TT Quatro.....I tried all of the suggestions I could find...it was obvious to me the top was latching correctly...i fiddled with the latch handle etc...so finally after closing the roof. latching it, closing the latch handle...I made a fist and just on sharp rap with the back of my palm and everything worked .....
In my efforts to resolve this it became apparent to me how sensitive the latch handle and related switch is....just some simple little thing with the latch handle might be your cure too!!!

welll let me just tell you that it worked, lol thanks a lot, funny what a little man power will do...
