Hi, I just got quoted€3000 for a replacement exhaust from Audi. This is a rip-off.

Anybody know where I can get a compatible exhaust for a 97 A4 2.8 V6 Quattro? Don't have the money for big-buck stuff. Needs to be available or deliverable to France

Do you need the full exhaust or can you get away with replacing a damaged/worn section ??

(edited for inept typing!) 3 different places say whole system (even if they can't do it themselves. I think this is just because joints are rusted (the car IS 10 years old), although I recon some coke on the nuts should help.

For safety's sake, I should say whole system.

Have you tried the custom build exhaust centres?

They could build you one probably from stainless steel cheaper than the Audi original system ...

Here in the UK a custom build would cost about £500($900) max for a cat-back stainless steel lifetime guarantee system supplied and fitted ...
