I have a 2002 1.8t A4 sport pckg. I was looking to start modding it up a little. I was wondering if ABD's intake is any good. or if there are better ones out there. I heard that the carbonio is a prety good one but I also heard that a closed box intake doesnt get as much hp as an open intake. (not like an intake will give me much hp anyway but I want as much hp for my buck as possible) thanks for your help.

Not sure if they are being made for the 1.8 yet, but the X-1 Racer CF intake is pretty sweet. Seals off the intake from the engine bay with an open type filter. Looks way cool too

theres no point to waste money on an air intake thats going to take in hot air... if anything buy a blow off valve or a cat system

They don't give you any more power, but they do give you a cool noise and slightly better throttle response. I've had a K&N on every car i've owned, and they've just finished developing one for the b6 1.8t.
