Just got a 1997Audi A4 1.6 and it will not cold start, ie below 4oC. If it is cranked for a long period it will eventually fire, but will not idle correctly until it achieved normal operating temperature! Air filter is new, throttle body has been cleaned. Where is idle control valve on this car? Any help appreciated!

the cold start thing dose NOT sound right at all! id get it checked out by a pro.

i can see your car idling higher at colder temps. the car needs to warm up. is it just idling high? or fluxuating?
