On the Ebay ads they say the stuff they are selling is good from 98 to 03 and non turbo's.

I believe it's different across the models. Those codes do not match my 98 A4 exactly. Code 17 is the vehicle speed, as indicated, but on mine code 27, not code 28, is the engine RPMs.

I also have 74 codes (or somewhere around there) not 61.

I have seen two different lists so far, the other one is very different from my codes. :huh:

What is the idea behind the code system? What exactly is there to alter that will be of benifit?
