I recently bought a 2004 Audi A6 2.7 turbo quattro from a dealer. While at the dealer checking the car out and test driving it the check engine light came on. The car is in great condition inside and out it drives great and it has 134,000 miles. The dealer checked out the engine light and they said most likely it is a coil issue. They said they arent sure because they are not an Audi dealer. What they told us is they would give us a 1200 baseline where when they take it to Audi and if it cost 1200 or less to fix we have the decision to pay to fix it or get my money back. If it is more than 1200 that I would have to cover the 1200 and they would pay the difference.

So my question is this a good deal? and could it be what they are saying it is the coil pack and if so what does the repair on the coil pack run?
