I would like to trade my defective Audi Syphony (I) into a regular 1 din after market stereo. Can anybody help me? Where can I get an adapter plate that gives me 2 regular din holes (preferably one with pocket for keys, sunglasses and such) instead of 1 big double din? I have just bought this car last week, and i have a nice DVD/LCD unit from Pioneer from my old car that I would like to use instead (AVH-P6500DVD).

I would really appreciate if any of you could help here....

Thanks :)

If you find what you are looking for, I would be interested in you old 'double din' cage. I am looking to do the oposite that you are, and would like to change my single din console for a double din type, so as I can install a symphony II radio.

Look on US ebay for the A4 but I dont think you will have any luck with the A3 other than replacing the whole centre dash from a single din.

If you are handy with fiberglass or at least know how to work it I would suggest fiberglassing the whole area off, sand it, prime, paint.

I am planning on doing the 1 DIN to 2 DIN conversion and will take pictures of it. I would like to find an Audi TT console though to experiment on.
