How do i change the current audi gear knob so i can put a new one?

Loosen leather by pulling it upwards (from console)
Then you'll see the metal clamp sitting around a white plastic thingie. Remove metal clamp. (you could use a regulare hose clamp when mounting)
when clamps removed pull up
