Have '06 A4 3.2L Quattro manual 6 spd. First time a had problem with clutch is when replaced master and slave cyl's because trash in lines. Spent almost 2.5 days trying to get the pedal to depress then, but lucky with a friend and managed to get pedal right. So when I now replaced the clutch and pressure plate I now have the the same issue with petal rock hard again and don't remember how it went.
I keep looking at the indent through mirror and appears to be in the center but I cannot be hitting it right if it's locked up and I am believing I am at a point NOT in the hole but somewhere above the throw out bearing. The bellows and the rod sag a bit as it goes in also.
I've done a hefty amount of clutches, but at 71, this one's killing me. If the "fork's' indent is not met by the rod this could stop the petal from going in. But then I think back to the beginning and can't explain why the pedal is solid when the slave is removed from the trans and not touching anything. I know these clutches get done all the time, if someone could help me get my head around it, I'd appreciate it. May have a lift available for this weekend.
