Does the "Middle" tone adjustment on the Bose Symphony system control the speaker on the front dash? The manual says it controls the midrange, but what it sounds like/looks like to me is that there is a speaker on the front dash (I Have a 2003 A4) and it controls that thing because when I turn it down all of the way, I don't hear as much sound coming from what seems like the front of the car.

I know it sounds like a dumb questions, but sometimes you can't tell where the sound is coming from in a car. Sometimes a sub in the trunk sounds like it's coming from the front of the car due to how the sound bounces off all of the windows and such.

Middletone adjustment controls midrange. The speaker on the dash is almost a mid-only speaker, so the most dramatic change occurs on that speaker.
