Has anyone solved the issue with connecting the new Blackberry 8700 to the Audi bluetooth system. I have just switched phones from a Blackberry 6230 which worked perfectly. The new (and much improved) 8700 will connect to my A6 (2006 model) system, but somehow gets turned off by the system within minutes of usage. The phone then needs to reset itself completely. It seems ludicrous that I may have to go back to a very much older phone to use this function in my car. Any thoughts?

I replaced my 8700r with a new unit. I tested it for a weekend with only the basic phone function ie. my SIM card was in the phone but it was not yet synced with my server to receive emails. While the phone restarted a few times when the initial bluetooth connection was made, it worked perfectly. So this Monday I handed it over to our IT specialist who set it up to receive and send emails etc. and now it switches off whenever the bluetooth connection with the Audi is made. I am back to using a Jabra headset. Look forward to seeing if anyone is able to solve this - looks like it might be a RIM software issue.
