Hi..

Get a new cabin airfilter.. (fairly cheap) and heat the car up, blowers on full power, top heat, open all venta and leave on for about 10 mins..

Also i know you can buy Car air vent cleaner... you spray the cleaner in below the cabin air filter and its meant to purifi the system... I have never used it or read muich into it so i suggust a little reasearch into it first! .

Cheers

Just one other thing... If you have a 2002 A4 - I guess it is a B6 - rather than a B5 -- unless they released the B6 later in the US - compare to here the UK

Thanks to whoever came up with the solution to the problem of bad smells.

I used "Comma Air conditioning Cleaner" and ran the air conditioning unit at maximum heat for 15 minutes and hey presto! the smell is no longer there.

Once again, many thanks. I can now take my passengers without them complaining.
