Hi everyone

A while back my Avant started giving this problem. As soon as the car starts, it switches off on it's own. I have to give it a few swings before it actually starts and idles normal. I can't seem to get to the base of the problem. Any suggestions?

To recap, the car would start each time, and idle for approximately 1 second and cut out. After a good few attempts, it actually idles normal and driving can resume as per normal. Oh.... it does not switch off after it starts to run, incase you wondering. If she idles for more than 5 seconds you good to go.

It may be the reader coil - had to have mine replaced recently - does the little car light flash on and off when it doesnt start.

I would say 95% reader coil then - cost me about £200 for Audi to change. Only problem is i now have two keys - one for opening car and the other for Starting because to have them syncronised i was told a month's wait!!
